Oral-Pathology

Oral and maxillofacial pathologists treat patients, conduct research and diagnose diseases using clinical, radiographic, microscopic, biochemical or other examinations.

UT Dentists Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists are a reliable diagnostic resource for clinicians. We have expertise in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial pathology, with specialized experience in jaw bone diseases, pediatric oral pathology, oral manifestations of HIV infection, and oral cancer and its precursors.

Our services include:

  • Conventional biopsy testing
  • Cytopathology
  • Immunohistochemistry, and
  • Direct immunofluorescence testing for mucocutaneous diseases.

We offer complimentary supplies, with delivery via FedEx, local courier or U.S. Postal Service. Diagnosis is usually provided within two business days of receiving most biopsy specimens, with phone or email consultations available as needed.
